One card, one dot.

Understanding the cycle time scatter plot

Drag any card into Doing, then into Done. Try moving more than one at a time. Once the run is over, replay it with the buttons under the chart, or drag the slider, to see the board at any earlier moment. Or press Example to see a finished run from a real team's history, without playing it yourself. Open Simulation, start a few cards, then finish them. Try having more than one in progress. When the run ends, tap a card or a dot to see which belongs to which. Replay it with the buttons under the chart, or drag the slider, to see the list at any earlier moment. Or tap Example to see a finished run from a real team's history, without playing it yourself.

A cycle time scatter plot puts one dot on the chart for every finished piece of work. Its horizontal position marks when the item finished. Its vertical position marks how long it took, start to finish.

Most items land low on the chart: quick, unremarkable, done in a day or two. A handful climb much higher. Those are the ones worth asking about.
